Overview
Liberon Iron Paste is a black graphite paste ideal for protecting and restoring cast and wrought ironwork. It's ideal for renovating nonworking cast iron fireplaces and surrounds and for use on ornamental ironwork and cast iron grates. Applying iron paste reduces the possibility of rusting and flaking. It produces either a silver or black look and can be buffed to a high sheen or left matt.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust before application. Ensure the surface is free from rust by using a rust remover.
Application
Before applying the product test a small area on the surface to be treated to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
- Using a brush or cotton cloth apply the iron paste sparingly to the whole surface.
- Allow to dry for a minimum of 4 hours before buffing with a brush or cotton cloth.
- To obtain a decorative, patinated finish on sculpted or high relief pieces, carefully polish the raised area with a cotton cloth.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
